Day 1: Tangier

Arrive in Tangier, a bustling Mediterranean port city historically favored by international socialites, including writers like Paul Bowles. Explore the lively atmosphere, where you’ll discover vibrant museums, historic sites, and the cosmopolitan blend of cultures. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in your hotel.

Day 2: Tangier – Chefchaouen

Travel to Chefchaouen, a picturesque Andalusian town nestled in the Rif Mountains. Known for its blue and white-washed buildings, this relaxed town offers narrow alleyways, bustling market squares, and handmade products sold by local Rif women. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Fes

Head to Fes, the world’s last remaining medieval city and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the ancient medina, including Karaouine Mosque, University, and Moulay Idriss II’s tomb. Visit the Nejjarine Fountain, Batha Museum, and the famous tanneries. Pause to admire the panoramic views of the city.

Day 4: Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Meknes

Begin with an excursion to the Roman ruins of Volubilis and Moulay Idriss, the revered pilgrimage town. Continue to Meknes, the smallest yet most charming of Morocco’s Imperial Cities, where the ancient city walls, labyrinthine streets, and bustling souks invite exploration. Shop for spices, pottery, and copperware before overnighting at your hotel/B&B.

Day 5: Meknes – Marrakech

Travel south to Marrakech, the ochre city of the southern empire. Settle into a Riad near the Jemaa el-Fna Square, where you’ll witness the vibrant, ever-changing scenes of snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, and storytellers. Stroll through the medieval medina, with its winding streets, spice-scented air, and vibrant souks. Enjoy dinner at your Riad.

Day 6: Marrakech – Ourika Valley

Embark on a day trip to the Ourika Valley, where you’ll visit traditional Berber souks, Jewish shrines, and local artisan workshops. After lunch, enjoy the serene surroundings before returning to Marrakech for a delicious dinner at the Riad.

Day 7: Marrakech – Essaouira

Depart for Essaouira, a charming beach city with a rich Portuguese heritage. Explore the Mellah (Jewish quarter), stroll through its medina, and enjoy fresh seafood by the coast. Stay overnight in your Riad in the heart of the medina.

Day 8: Essaouira – Casablanca

Drive along the scenic Atlantic coast to Casablanca, Morocco’s economic hub. Visit the United Nations Square, Royal Palace, and the awe-inspiring Hassan II Mosque, the largest in the Muslim world after Mecca’s mosque.

Day 9: Casablanca

Transfer to Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport, bidding farewell to Morocco as you catch your flight home.
