UNDER MOROCCAN SUN was founded by Hassan El Amrani, a native Berber from the Sahara desert of Morocco. Hassan is a son of a nomadic parents who decided to settle down in the small village of Merzouga, located by the dramatic Erg Chebbi sand dunes, so their children could go to school. As a result, Hassan attended Moulay Ismail University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English language and literature. Hassan then worked as tour guide for several prominent tour companies in Morocco until he decided to launch Under Moroccan Sun. Hassan is a Certified Travel Associate (CTA), which a recognized travel agent certification issued by The Travel Institute once a candidate possesses the necessary experience and passes a rigorous exam. Making both the United States and Morocco his home, Hassan has a clear understanding of what travelers expect. Our specialty is Morocco, our passion is Morocco, and our satisfaction is the relationship we build with our travelers after we have helped them dive into the sights, scents, and secrets of this exotic kingdom.

Under Moroccan Sun guide, Halim Elmansouri, earned his university degree in literary studies in 1993 and his bachelor of arts in English literature and linguistics in 1995. He is fluent in Arabic, French, and English. He has worked extensively in the hospitality, travel, and tourism industry since 1995 – serving as senior cabin crew for Emirates Airlines, Guest Relations Manager for a 4-star hotel, and most notably as a Tour Leader for the Ministry of Tourism in the kingdom of Morocco.
